I purchased my first pair of Golden Goose sneakers a few months ago (which I originally featured in this post), and got tons of questions from you guys ever since. So many that I thought it was time for a full review! Where did you end up buying them?
I ordered mine from Cettire when they had a great deal going on.
I ordered them on April 28th and they were golden goose sneakers delivered by April 30th, so the shipping was really quick – definitely a bonus
How much do they cost?
When I grabbed my pair in April, I paid $385.43, but their regular price is around $514.
You can expect to pay between $410 and seventeen hundred depending on their design features.
Do they fit as expected?
They ran true to size for me — I usually wear a size 6, and I went with a EU 36.
They haven’t stretched noticeably, so if you’re in the middle, I’d go up a size
How comfy are they?
They only needed minimal break-in time..
Do they hold up well?
Since they come pre-distressed, I didn’t worry about getting them dirty. I’ve worn them all over NYC, and they’ve held up beautifully. The laces are intact, and the leather hasn’t stretched. Since the aesthetic is distressed, I can’t even tell if there’s new wear and tear.
Do they feel better than other shoes?
They’re the highest quality sneakers I have. I wear Vejas and Tretons too, but Golden Goose wins in both comfort and quality. They have a hidden arch lift that adds a little height — making your legs look longer. Not to mention, they’re handmade in small batches, so each pair is unique. And the glitter on mine? Next-level.
Would you buy again?
Absolutely! Though I suggest looking for a deal. They’re expensive, so getting them with a promo is worth it. Still, I think they’re worth a few hundred bucks, especially if you find a style that suits you. I went bold with sparkle, but a neutral version would also be smart.
